    Book 1, Born to Magic

    Amazing world-building.
Every time I read anything in this world, I have the worst book hangover when it’s over! This is an epic story, worthy of getting lost in.

Character development, much like the world building is extremely advanced.
Hints and peeks into the past—which is our present, as it happens—are completely plausible and add a whole other level of entertainment to the reading experience.

Manages to pack in real feels even though the romance is really just a side effect of this epic story.

Very much looking forward to seeing all I can of this world and plan to re-read it in its entirety. A much-needed escape.

    Book 2, The Dark Masters
“I have killed creatures and men. I have found terrible powers within me and met people and things who should never be but are.”

When I stumbled upon this quote, deep into this epic read, I felt that it summarized a bit of Areenna’s journey but might also serve to intrigue anyone who reads it and hasn’t yet read this book… I share it here because it just jumped out at me as so… fitting.

I'm not usually a reader of epic journeys, fantasy or sci-fi type reads but this book makes me think maybe I should be.
First of all - it does take place in the future but ... it's not one of these far-fetched futuristic deals. There is a very reasonable explanation for how the state of things came to be this way , including but not exclusively limited to our actual current state of affairs with the religious war / terrorism situation that we unfortunately seem to have going on.

There is a journey involved and without posting any spoilers - it is as much about discovering oneself as it is the main characters carrying out their task to save their people.
I become so lost in this world - I still miss it, having finished this book a few weeks ago. It stayed with me more than most. Some books you just want to devour while others devour you... this one definitely devoured me for the duration - I cannot say enough.

If you're looking for a brief escape, it's right here.

Book 3, Trinity: The Battle for Neveah

Though I don’t read a ton of fantasy, I’ve come to be a huge fan of Wind’s Tales of Naveah series. Somehow Wind pulls off writing a variety of genres and all are so well done; it never ceases to amaze me.

In this installment of this epic series, the reader is treated to pure evil. As the Dark Masters work towards the typical antagonist desire of world domination, Wind manages to make it feel darker than usual. Yet the antagonists are filled with light, love and purity. He describes the magic as completely plausible and he still keeps it simple. It feels impossible to not be drawn into this series.

Each novel in this series has been addicting: the adventure, the romance and the classic good versus bad / dark versus light are too exciting to put down. It can be so ominous and so full of light and innocence; a fascinating dichotomy. The futuristic setting is a brilliant design as well that only serves to fuel my need for more.

    I strongly recommend this series.

    The series is professionally presented.
