You feel for both AJ and Indika, firstly AJ did what he had to do to help bring down the enemy but he also let Indika and his team think he was dead and mourn for the loss. Now while wanting to get back in the action after his injuries his old team are keeping him at arms length and seeing Indika and her being injured forces him to realise he wants to fight for her. The emotions both Indika and AJ go through has you happy, anxious as well as hopeful then throw in the rumblings of the bad guys and what danger may come their way due to it and whether work will come before Indika yet again.
