Slade and Mack’s story. It’s a 2nd chance romance with a short in between.
Mack was left at the alter, which sucks. But what’s worse is that her ex also works for her family’s company and she’s expected to work there too. She decides she needs to shake things up so she goes on her honeymoon to Puerto Vallarta.
Slade is tired of the media, tired of people getting on his recent decisions, and tired of people after the spotlight around him. He needs a break.
He meets Mack in the plane and he’s s intrigued. When an engine fails on the plane, the discuss regrets and share a hot kiss.
I felt a lot for both of these characters. Mack is very rich but she just wants someone to want her. Someone to fight for her and not care about her money. She hates to be in the spotlight. Slade is tired of being a commodity and when he loses his biggest support.
These two really have to fight for their HEA. Slade can be a real dick but Mack does not stand for it. Their growth is evident and they learn to talk to one another.
I know Matt has a book because I already read it but I hope Jagger gets one too.
