Recs if you like The Disordered Cosmos: A Journey into Dark Matter, Spacetime, and Dreams Deferred...

Heavily influenced by the picture of Christina Koch's braid floating zero-g as she smiled at Earth from the moon (2026, during the Atremis II mission). Nonfic on space from perspectives outside of white men! Space exploration, astronauts, astronomy, and the history in between it all!

I want this list to highlight women and gender minorities* who wrote about astrophysics/astronomy, or their experience studying it. I also included some biographies because a lot of the history of women+ in physics was (and still is) ignored, even though their contributions are phenomenal :)

I could change the list to include all of the branches of physics (instead of just astrophysics) but I only had astrophysics books in my personal library hehehehe

Non-fiction books about astronomy, astrophysics, space, planets, galaxies, black holes, and more. 🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘

A collection of non fiction books from women in science or any other field of knowledge! I'm so tired of having to listen to men that I am making it my mission to read as many non-fiction books from women I can.

This shall become the place where I geather all the books with nonbinary representattion / written by nonbinary authors (not sure yet if both). I have not read most of them but rather have them from lists, feel free to suggest more, or report falsly added books

nonfiction books about living that make you feel ALIVE and glad of it

personal, poetic, or literary Black Feminist/Womanist works. suggestions and/or corrections always welcome!

since it's women's history month here is my ever growing TBR and admiration for women who have come before me. You are invaluable and inspiring to say the least ♡

Looking at our universe through both a fictional and non-fictional lens; a blend of sci-fi, scientific theory, and even a few things in-between. For anyone looking to broaden their reading horizens and learn something along the way, this is all things space and aliens.
