This was a very different type of historical romance. The first half of the book was a page-turner. I couldn't figure out how the author was going to pull her characters out of the situation to reach the happily ever after!
However, parts of this book dragged. It did seem too long, as another reviewer mentioned, there were extra plots that seemed to have no real purpose (until the end), and the relationship between the wife and cousin just didn't make sense..
Still, the author should be commended for providing a creative and unique plot and characters, which leaves readers guessing until the end.
