A list of Fantasy books where the magic system is based off of music in some form

does it rain all the time where you live? or maybe it hardly ever rains where you live? I’m in the latter, it hardly ever rains here, but it did last night and I was inspired to create this list. here is a list of books with rain in the title ☔️

as always, taking any and all suggestions!

Craft, Performance and Art-focused Fantasy/Gothic

An ongoing list of stuff I've read on KU that I think make the sub worth the price. This will largely be sci-fi and fantasy, just due to my own taste in books. There will definitely be some junk food on here. If it's a series, only the first book will be listed.

Note: these were all on KU at the time I added them to this list. They may fall off and I probably won't realize it. Feel free to give me a heads up and I will remove them!

I'd love to hear your recs too!

A hodge podge collection from different genres of series that are interconnected standalones. In this list, you'll only find the first book that introduce each series. Books in interconnected standalones usually have contained stories but share lore throughout the series or might have an overarching plot that is shared by the characters in each book. Do recommend any you can think of as I want to max out the 100 book capacity allowed here.

Even as my reading tastes evolve and change, I'll never forget my fantasy roots. Here is a list of the GOAT fantasy, sci-fi & speculative series from YA to Adult that I will still rave about today.
