Low Cortisol Reading List
These are books I am going to start reading before bed, because my regular selection of reading material just really riles me up. Inspired by two posts from the Substack Feeling! Magazine by Jenna O'Brien.

Get back into reading
Everyone goes through a slump at some point for one reason or another. This is a list of books that will hopefully get you back into reading. The list contains books that are generally faster paced with an easier reading level. Not everything on this list will fall into those specifics but I think they fit here. Novellas, short story collections, and graphic novels are also included. Hopefully at least one of these books will interest you โฅ

This is your sign to dive headfirst into epistolary literature
Behold: yet another of my 2 a.m. deep dives - this time into epistolary literature! The list starts with some of the earliest examples of the form and follows it into the present day, from stories told through letters and diaries to those built from emails, texts, transcripts, and other documents. Whether youโre a longtime fan or completely new to this genre, what interests you most about it?
(A quick note: I put this list together using Wikipedia, blog posts, and Reddit threads. I did my best to keep everything in chronological order, but a few mistakes may have slipped through - it was 2 a.m., after all. If you have any suggestions on what else I should add, Iโd love to hear it!)
