Recs if you like Heartbreaker...

Romance heroines with cold feet! In the accompanying episode, we get into the Julia Roberts and Sally Field of it all, but here we're just doing the books!

Romance books with a road trip.

Never read a historical romance? Choose one of these! All the balls, the inheritances, the petticoats, the rakes, and the reputations. May or may not be the first book in a series (but if it's on this list, my recommendation would be to just go ahead and read it)! Amazing writers doing incredible work building truly beautiful love stories in a world and time different from ours. All sex on the page (steaminess levels vary), all HEA (of course).

5 stars historical romance HR books starring dukes ! Comment with any recommendations :)

Historical romance books where she is NOT a sweet, forgiving angel. Only badass women with a backbone, who are at times cold, vindictive, selfish, scheming, etc.

fmcs who feel, to me, like fully fledged and interesting, well-developed, multi-dimensional characters rather than flat caricatures. and without the uncriticized internalized misogyny!
