Recs if you like Ghost Cities...

Suggestions always welcome! SFF books written to be humorous, satiric, or otherwise meant to entertain and make readers laugh. (This was a quest idea i was thinking about, but I'm not committed enough to this to make it)

A list of books that embody the kindness, joy, and community, along with the curiosity for radical justice, deep analysis, and deconstruction of systems of oppression that I see on this platform. In honor of PB’s birthday (Aug 13, I've been told)! I welcome everyone to leave a book + their explanation for why they feel it embodies PB energy in the comments; there’s no right or wrong answer, I would love to see everyone's perspectives!

A list of 100 australian books from a variety of genres, not the same 10 boring white men. adding my lists from fable (Flag emoji for search visibility purposes)

Somebody stop them there's too many! (This list would have been better if the order had been preserved)

lit fic and horror, mainly, and mostly books by women, nonbinary & trans writers, basically mostly non-cis-men

Subverting expectations and getting meta in the genre sandbox! Books that play with genre, subvert the traditional, switch things up with language and form, offer a new angle for a retelling, or mash and mix things up before spitting out a brand new tale. Includes works that are mainstream now but were considered a subversion of the familiar in the time period in which they were published. Suggestions always welcome!

Some great fiction from Down Under

"The most prestigious literary award in Australia" which has been going for 70 years, features some much beloved Aussie writers and is named for a prolific 20th century author. I've only included winners from 2007 onwards because the official website is terribly set up and I don't trust Wikipedia without another source but I'll update if I can happily confirm. Again, the longlist is always interesting, please have a look if you want more Aussie reads!!

Fiction about the consequences of living in the public eye (you wanna piece of me?)
