I'm so glad I enjoyed this as much as I did because I went out on a limb and assumed I would and ordered all 3 trades at once. Unfortunately, Vol. 2 was held up so I have to wait until tomorrow to read it and Vol. 3.

I read a preview of this volume on the Image website after reading some reviews from here and Amazon and was immediately taken in.

Wizord is the buff hipster grandpa of my lady dreams, with the added bonus of MAGIC! He has what seems like infinite magic and puissance (a word I learned reading this volume) until the biggest, baddest jerk of them all comes along and cuts Wizord off.

And Margaret! I'm so excited to learn more about her! A talking koala who is Wizord's sidekick but GASP! there's more?! Very intrigued and can't wait to see more of her!

The art is some of my personal favorite I've ever seen. The neons, the brights, the contrasts, this volume was a delight to the eyes in my own personal taste. I've also never read a comic with this kind of panel style before, I'm quite fond of it! Instead of rectangles after rectangles there's a pop of angles and circles that really work and draw me in further. The art and panels are what drew me to this series, the story just happened to be as awesome!

Fun and entertaining with enough story plot to keep me interested. The pacing is good too, although I was a bit confused in the first part but then managed to gain a clear understanding, so that might have just been on me.
It’s fun and I will be reading more volumes.
