0 0Nothing like disappointment from not enjoying a new release from one of your favorite authors. I liked the premise of this book, but the execution didn't do it for me.
I would have enjoyed this more had it been between a guardian and his three wards. Mateo rubbed me the wrong way and messed up the book's groove. Dude hasn't seen Magnolia in YEARS and got the nerve to act like she belongs to him. Like where you come from?!
Secondly, what about Magnolia had all these guys twisted up?! All I know about her is that she's a bratty 18/19-year-old. We got no commentary on what these guys liked about her besides how beautiful she was and her young body.
As usual, everything is straight up over the top, and the smut is the plot. I didn't really enjoy this so I'm impatiently waiting for her next book and fingers crossed I enjoy it more.
