I’ve rewatched Off Campus an embarrassing number of times, and the thing that always sticks with me is Garrett and Hannah’s shared love of music. These books capture that same feeling. Not books that just remind me of songs, but stories where the characters love music deeply—through songwriting, performing, shared albums, and the way music becomes part of how they connect to themselves and each other.

Romance books I would recommend to anyone! I’m sure there’s lots of these lists out there, but as someone who reads about 100 romances a year, I thought I’d point out ones I love!

I’m on my fifth rockstar romance this summer, and GOD—the way these authors worship music is intoxicating. It’s not just the insider POVs or the music knowledge. These books make me feel the way my favorite albums do: blasting at full volume on the highway, humming through my AirPods under twinkling lights on a rainy night, or replaying Adele’s live performance for the hundredth time.
