Recs if you like A Whole New World...

My favorite brand of Lovecraftian fiction is the kind that would have the man rolling in his grave.

These are all based on Disney movies and stories published by Disney from various authors.

Series (sort by "added on", note: some require a reading order): Villains ,Twisted Tales, The Queens Council, Princes, Dark Ascension, The Enchanters, Happily Never After, Meant to Be, Wings of Pixie Hollow, Mirrorverse.

The rest of the books in this list are individual ones not in series.

These individual books include: Frozen 2: Dangerous Secrets, A Twisted Tale Anthology, Long Live the Pumpkin Queen, Hour of the Pumpkin Queen, Bravely, Encanto: Nightmares and Suenos, Rootbound: a Tangled Novel, Hello Cruel Heart, Hood, The Little Mermaid: against the tide, Heart of the Moors: Maleficent novel, Wondrous, Promchanted.

Acknowledgments to: @books_and_crafts_jes (Instagram) for the Sheets list of these books in her bio, I used it to input into this list for easier access and tracking.

A series of books where Disney films didn't go quite the way we remember

Fairy tale Retelling ranging from YA to Adult (will be updating as I come across them)

There are so many books that take familiar Disney characters and give a little more. From standalones to series, I'm hoping to catch as many as I can!

Are you getting recommended the same fantasy books over and over? All of these books are over a year old and finished by less than 1000 people on PB. (YA and Adult, standalones and first books in a series)

Sometimes our childhood needs a little ✨️

Alice in wonderland, Cinderella, Mulan, Princess and the frog, Red riding hood, Little mermaid, Peter pan, Tarzan, Sleeping beauty, Snow white, Beauty and the beast, Rapunzel, ect...

Different genre so read at your own discretion 🤭

A list filled with adorable middle grade/children's fiction to take us back way back when. (A good unwind session plus it would be great to share these to get more kids into reading-all suggestions welcome)

New fantastic fantasy worlds to delve into

middle grade and young adult

Books that are Disney retellings or just give a very Disney magical vibe!

books that take inspiration from or are direct retellings of the classics, fairytales, myths, and legends.

Books inspired by Disney, or published by Disney imprints

Whether by more recent classics or old ones, also includes books connected to classic authors. Only the first book in a series will be included, but the rest are typically also retellings or inspired by as well.
