Recs if you like Your Driver Is Waiting...
a (ongoing) sapphic masterlist! (600+ books!)
every struggled to find actual lesbian/sapphic books when at the library or bookstore? so did I!
bc of said struggle, I started to curate a personal list of books that either has lesbian MCs and/or featured a primary sapphic romance.
i haven't read all of these, but I do try my diligence in confirming that they meet the above perimeters, since many books claim to be sapphic when they're not. this is an ever updating list, only fiction for now!
assigned by frankie

This is a genre-agnostic mega-list of weird girl* fiction expanding on an original list by @yarnandbooks (no longer being updated). You can view the original list here: (link) /// As a nonbinary person, I take as broad a view as possible of the "girl" in "weird girl*", hence the asterisk.

Everybody Get More Bisexual Butchfemme Right Now!
we owe lots of great butchfemme (and derivative masc/fem) rep to bi, pan, queer & unlabeled characters, often by bi+ authors! bi, aspec & trans folks are historically essential participants of butchfemme lesbian/sapphic/queer culture. these books have plurisexual character(s), sometimes through implied attraction transcending gender rather than explicit labels; this includes intersections with gender diversity and asexual/aromantic spectrums. check out my other list on bi butches/studs/mascs!
Sapphic F(r)iction
Women loving women! In literature!
sapphic horror
Normal is boring, bring in the weird girls
Weird Girl ยฃit Fic
Bi Butches, Studs & Mascs
thank the stars for bisexual masculinities. โจ thereโs a lot of great bi+ fem(me)s in lesbian/sapphic/wlw literature, and bi+ masc/butch/stud/gnc/nonbinary rep needs to catch up! soft butches/mascs/studs, stemmes, futches, and tomboys also included here. mostly curated from suggestions, more recs welcomed! note: a small number of these are (significant) side-characters, please check blurb/reviews.

Diverse Baseline Challenge
These Diverse Baseline Challenge was created by @bookish.millennial & @themargherita.s (on instagram). In 2025, the goal is to read 1 book by a racialized author each month. This challenge is meant to encourage readers to try genres they historically donโt reach for, find new-to-them racialized authors, and to encourage reflection on our reading habits.
This is a mix of recommendations by the challenge organizers and myself.
