Prince with Benefits

Erin: Cinderella had it easy. I'm lying to millions of people, and it's all Silas's fault. Yes, that Silas. Billionaire, prince, scandals galore, downright royal bastard--everything that screams run. If only it weren't for his rock-hard edges and wild tattoos, tempting anything female on all seven continents. But I don't care about his looks. Really. Our deal is simple. He needs a pretty little lie, a wife to cover up his dirty deeds. I need a fortune to buy the treatment that just might save my father's life. Silas: It's almost perfect. An engagement with an American girl, desperate as she is beautiful. Anything goes with Erin, except one rule: Her body's off limits. She's joking, right? I convinced her to wear my ring, easy. I'll get her clothes off next. Show her what the world's most infamous player does when he's on fire. Then I'll move on. No more playing castle. I'll have my princess with benefits on her knees, treating me like royalty . . . Contains mature themes.

Prince With Benefits is the story of a prince who has a reputation for drinking and whoring and the queen is getting sick of it. Prince Silas will be taking over as King soon and no one believes he’s ready. So he makes an agreement with an American woman to marry him and pretend to be his wife for 3 years to cover up for his skeevy ways. She agrees because the prince is going to pay for a cutting edge cancer treatment for her father. Her one condition is that there’s no sex. Which is a good clause because of the aforementioned whoring. Needless to say, that doesn’t last long and pretty soon they do nothing BUT have sex. And of course they both catch real feelings. And of course there’s a big misunderstanding caused by a jealous ex that drives her away.

Let me start off by saying I don’t think this author is for me. The story was actually an interesting one and it had potential. But the characters were kind of terrible and almost impossible to connect with. The prince’s crudeness was a total turn off. He really wasn’t a great person. Things picked up a bit in the end and got kind of exciting, but more than anything, the plot of the book was simply a way to set up various sexual encounters. I actually enjoyed it more when I skimmed and/or skipped the sex scenes.
