If you love the Dark Protectors, these wicked hot Realm Enforcers are for you! Alexandra Monzelle is a hard-fighting, heat-packing Seattle vice cop, and she’s not much interested in being protected. Her short skirt and sex-kitten heels are tools to lure her suspects into talking about the deadly new drug hitting the streets. She can take care of herself and then some. Unfortunately, she can’t seem to get that through to Kellach Dunne. Kellach is a fresh import from Dublin, and he’s landed at the heart of a vicious motorcycle club that deals in guns, narcotics, and mayhem. He’s all male, all rough power—and all interference in her damn investigation. Maybe he’s one of the good guys. Maybe not. Lex knows an affair with an immortal like him would risk everything. No matter how delicious he looks…

I feel like I’m constantly saying this about my go-to authors lately, but it’s been far too long. Even just a few months is too long to go without reading a Rebecca Zanetti book when there are still so many of her stories I haven’t read.
The last few books I read in the Dark Protectors series (this is a spin-off of that series) were actually published after this book. While it didn’t cause any real issues, when I read Talen I had wished I knew more about these Realm Enforcers. So here I am, finally getting around to reading the first in the series, absolutely loving the ride.
On top of the amazing chemistry Kellach and Lex have, they also kept me laughing. I know it doesn’t seem like this should be a lighthearted and/or funny story, but the struggle these two had trying to prove who the Alpha is was so much fun. It was needed in the dark story of drugs and gangs.
There were a few times that I wanted to scream and pull my hair out when it came to Lex. She had a rough life, and I had to remind myself of that over and over when she kept losing her faith in Kellach. And to be fair, on the other side I felt was a bit too aggressive at times. While I can understand the frustration and confusion he was presented with by Lex’s hot and cold attitudes, he was straddling a line I didn’t like and, quite frankly, it knocked a bit off my overall rating. While all of this author’s male leads are very alpha and very forceful in all of their day to day dealings, I was still uncomfortable with a particular scene and how it played out.
Overall, I’m excited to find out more about the rest of these enforcers. I know we’ll see stories on Kellach’s family, I can only hope we see a whole lot more of Bear. In the meantime, I need to be more diligent to be sure I don’t go months without a Zanetti fix.

I was given the third book of this series to read for an honest review through netgalley. I loved it so much I actually picked up the first two books. I loved Lex and Kells story so much.
Action, strong lead characters, good values, magic and sexiness -- all stuff for an excellent book -- and Rebecca Zanetti knows her stuff. Immediately I was engaged with the characters and the story in "Wicked Ride." A family of Irish witches is sent to America to find and stop the source of a deadly new drug. They run headlong into Seattle PD doing the same. These new characters smoothly continued the story began in "Dark Protectors" and included characters from this previous series. Now the focus is on drugs, not surviving a major war anymore. Great writing, super dialogue, hot but rocky romance
