Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

What happens when your life is destroyed by circumstances out of your control? Do you give up and give in, or do you fight to get it back? Interior designer Karlie McKenna has been offered the opportunity of a lifetime—a highly anticipated Las Vegas resort. Unfortunately, there’s a catch. The owner is a member of the well-known Scarpetti mob family. Should she play it safe or roll the dice and hope for a better future? Michael Scarpetti has been trying to outrun his family’s reputation his entire life. His final hope is opening Tempo Resort. The last thing he needs is to fall for an employee, especially not a sharp-tongued woman like Karlie McKenna. But the more time they spend together, the harder it is for him to ignore his feelings. Laying down their bets, can Michael and Karlie survive the hand they’re dealt? Tensions rise as the lines between the conference room and bedroom blur. Will their passion ruin what they've both worked so hard to achieve, or will their dreams align to become a happily ever after?
