Wait a minute, what do you mean there’s ANOTHER book?!? No way.

I had literally forgotten the existence of this book, but when I saw it on my TBR I thought, oh, let’s read it. You know, once upon a time I loved Luc, so I might as well finish his story.

I thought this would be the end of it, but nooooo.

It didn’t needed to be that long. It literally happens nothing at all. Most of this book was spent by Luc and Evie saying how much they loved each other, adapting to be hiding in a community and with brief mentions of the Luxen characters/Aurum characters of JLA other books in this universe. It became annoyingly boring soon enough. And once again the plot twist is revealed on the final chapters promising an angsty next book. And you know what, I didn’t needed another damn book, I just wanted JLA to be done with it. This story doesn’t need another and another and another book she could have easily wrapped things up way sooner.

No matter how much I liked Luc and Evie once upon a time, they became annoying when the only thing they do is reminiscence about the past and be lovey dovey throughout the whole book. Where’s the plot??? Where’s the angst???

And the worst part is of course I will read the next one (and probably be disappointed) because you can’t give me that finale for one of my favorite characters of your books JLA, wtf.

Not to mention the sudden change in the book covers, like what is this cover??? It wasn’t that hard to follow the pattern in the covers I’ve seen beautiful ones made by fans who respect the aesthetic.
