It’s not every day that a beautiful naked woman falls out of the sky and lands face-first on grizzly shifter Berg Dunn’s hotel balcony. Definitely they don’t usually hop up and demand his best gun. Berg gives the lady a grizzly-sized t-shirt and his cell phone, too, just on style points. And then she’s gone, taking his XXXL heart with her. By the time he figures out she’s a honey badger shifter, it’s too late. Honey badgers are survivors. Brutal, vicious, ill-tempered survivors. Or maybe Charlie Taylor-MacKilligan is just pissed that her useless father is trying to get them all killed again, and won’t even tell her how. Protecting her little sisters has always been her job, and she’s not about to let some pesky giant grizzly protection specialist with a network of every shifter in Manhattan get in her way. Wait. He’s trying to help? Why would he want to do that? He’s cute enough that she just might let him tag along—that is, if he can keep up . . .

3 sisters who share a dad (honey badger) who is a real douche and has made their lives miserable, plus he stole money?
plot
-Italy: Charlie being chased by tactical team, shot, jumps naked over balcony, helped by Berg, jumps to street and getaway car Max is driving, crunch run over baddies
-Switzerland: C&M try to see sister Stevie in mental hospital(?), she freaks and fights her way out to them, then Max uses rocket launcher to shoot down tactical helicopter after them
-NYC: they're fighting at the actually-not-safe-house, Berg gives them safe house... random aunt and wedding? lots of stress baking, Charlie; lots of panic attacks, Stevie;... they fight off and kill a bunch of Scottish hired hands while in a covert meeting with their blackmailing cousin, now the supernatural CIA team wants to hire the sisters? plus more people are after them/Stevie?
-They disperse inside a supernatural mall, meet up with safe-house cousin, an ex who assaulted Stevie, a hockey team, the famous pianist, also docs are telling Charlie she's a wonder/mystery
all that at 50%, SO chaotic, SO many characters, hardly 1 tsp of sizzle/romance... DNF.

I wanted to like this because the premise sounded great and I feel like it actually might be good enough that I’ll give it another chance, but maybe in book form then.
The audiobook was kinda hard to follow because we essentially never have less than 3 characters who talk over each other in a scene together. So many names and facts and untagged speaking lines when it is very much not clear who is saying what.
Besides, the FMC’s sisters in particular were… really immature.
Have you ever read those wattpad crack fics that were actively supposed to be over the top quirky and ridiculous with how the characters act? Yeah. This was that, except I don’t think it was supposed to come across as basically satiric characters.
And also, I am now 18% in and so far the main couple has had one real conversation. If I didn’t know it was abt them, I’d assume the book doesn’t even have romance in it.
