i realised there’s not many list solely focused on anything theatre, so i thought i would use my acting and aspiring playwright background to recommend some of the best modern british plays i’ve watched, read or, not to toot my own horn too much, performed in. i try to make it diverse as possible too!

(the galatea book wouldn’t let me do a separate book so make sure you get the adapted by emma frankland and subira joy as it is the trans and disabled retelling)

did you know women have been nominated for best play at the tonys 45 times!!! over 79 years!!! and 3 of those times were for translating Jean Anouilh!!! and including translation have won 6 whole times!!!! and 3 women have won as sole playwright!!! broadway is soooo progressive you guys.
