Winners of The Carnegie Medal for Writing
The Carnegie's are the United Kingdom's major children's book awards. There are awards for both writing and illustration. This list is for the Carnegie Medal for Writing, which is chosen by children's librarians for exceptional books written in English for children and young people. The medals are awarded by CILIP and the Youth Libraries Group. The mission statement: "To champion librarians to inspire and empower the next generation to create a better world through books and reading."
