One summer internship. Two complete opposites. And a connection neither expected . . . Annalise Sherwood has worked herself to the bone to get a place on a prestigious internship programme, and nothing is going to stop her now. Work hard, play later - that's her motto. She figures one night letting her guard down won't hurt, though - especially when it ends with the best kiss of her life. But to Anna's horror, she discovers that the mystery guy she kissed that night is none other than Lloyd, the company CEO's son. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he's everyone's favourite guy and a total charmer, swanning around like he owns the place. And from the moment they meet again, he rubs Anna up the wrong way. As the summer - and the internship - progresses, Lloyd seems to be finding any excuse to annoy Anna, and she's not afraid to give it right back to him. But when a lot of late night working brings them unexpectedly closer, she begins to wonder if there's more to him than she originally thought . . . Brimming with wit and romance, this brand-new, page-turning book from Beth Reekles is perfect for fans of Beth O'Leary and Emily Henry, and is possibly her best story yet.

Workplace romance
When I picked up this book I thought it was about a standard sweet office romance book, but I’m happy it wasn’t. I really enjoyed reading this book. Loved how realistic the emotion were from Anna and Lloyd. And how I could relate to some of them. This is the first book of Beth Reekles that I’ve read and I can’t wait to read more of her books
Although it is a romance book there is so much more to it. It’s also about real work-life balance problems, there is a little drama moment in it and it’s about making friends and being surprised by who are and who aren’t your friends. It’s about learning to open up about you’re feelings and being open to forgiveness to people you didn’t expect to forgive
But what I liked a bout the the most is:
seeing how much Anna is growing throughout the book and becoming more comfortable with having friends and going out instead of being at home al by her self. How she sees that there are more things to life than just building up your career
And seeing how patience and supportive Lloyd is to Anna despite all the issues that he has himself but that
Definitely recommend this book!!
