One summer internship. Two complete opposites. And a connection neither expected . . . Annalise Sherwood has worked herself to the bone to get a place on a prestigious internship programme, and nothing is going to stop her now. Work hard, play later - that's her motto. She figures one night letting her guard down won't hurt, though - especially when it ends with the best kiss of her life. But to Anna's horror, she discovers that the mystery guy she kissed that night is none other than Lloyd, the company CEO's son. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he's everyone's favourite guy and a total charmer, swanning around like he owns the place. And from the moment they meet again, he rubs Anna up the wrong way. As the summer - and the internship - progresses, Lloyd seems to be finding any excuse to annoy Anna, and she's not afraid to give it right back to him. But when a lot of late night working brings them unexpectedly closer, she begins to wonder if there's more to him than she originally thought . . . Brimming with wit and romance, this brand-new, page-turning book from Beth Reekles is perfect for fans of Beth O'Leary and Emily Henry, and is possibly her best story yet.

When I picked up this book I thought it was about a standard sweet office romance book, but I’m happy it wasn’t. I really enjoyed reading this book. Loved how realistic the emotion were from Anna and Lloyd. And how I could relate to some of them. This is the first book of Beth Reekles that I’ve read and I can’t wait to read more of her books
Although it is a romance book there is so much more to it. It’s also about real work-life balance problems, there is a little drama moment in it and it’s about making friends and being surprised by who are and who aren’t your friends. It’s about learning to open up about you’re feelings and being open to forgiveness to people you didn’t expect to forgive
But what I liked a bout the the most is:
seeing how much Anna is growing throughout the book and becoming more comfortable with having friends and going out instead of being at home al by her self. How she sees that there are more things to life than just building up your career
And seeing how patience and supportive Lloyd is to Anna despite all the issues that he has himself but that
Definitely recommend this book!!
Sincerely Yours, Anna Sherwood by Beth Reekles - 4/5 ⭐
How have I only just read a book by Reekles?! What an amazing author, I can't wait to dive into more! Such a talent for writing. I loved it.
I'm not sure what I was expecting really but this was an enjoyable, light YA romance. I loved the idea of it being enjoyable for the older kids, and not everything needs to be filled with smut to make it enjoyable.
There was a lot of relatable themes in the book, the struggle it balancing work and education as well as relationships. That was a lovely touch. There wasn't anything straightforward about any of the problems our FMC was facing.
Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Random House for allowing me to read this ARC - this is an HONEST review from my own personal opinion.
