What a great start to the series. Tourmaline (Tori) was awesome. I liked how she was so fierce and independent. Her whole world is turned upside down when her mom dies, but she rolled with the punches. Terran, Onyx, and Reed are each unique and I like how they help and push Tori to figure out her new world - even Onyx, who Was really frustrating sometimes. I also really liked River — I can’t wait to see what else she can do. And I want an Opal of my own :)
