Leslie has recently lost her job, but paying her rent and bills is the least of her worries: her brother Brian is sick and needs surgery in order to survive. However, insurance isn't going to pay for the surgery, so the family is not sure what they are going to do. While at the hospital, Leslie literally runs into a man and dumps coffee all over both of them. She's angry and they are both basically rude to each other. Later she applies for a job as a nanny and then finds out for the man she ran into at the hospital; his name is Adam. Leslie bonds with Adam's daughter, Sarah.
There are sparks between Leslie and Adam and eventually they give in. Then they take turns rejecting each other, ultimately Leslie decides she can't work there anymore. Adam begs her to come back because Sarah loves her and is very sad. She agrees but they can no longer have a relationship. Of course, that's not how things will stay but that adventure is half the fun!
