People come and go. Life happens. I’d learned this at an early age when my parents parted ways and even before that when they showed me I was the least of their priorities. With a new job on the Belford Ranch, I had made up my mind not to cross any lines. That resolution was made before I set eyes on the heiress to the ranch, Bianca Belford. She was the very definition of temptation, from her clear milky skin to her rounded hips and the way she carried herself like a goddess, and it wasn’t long before thoughts of her started plaguing my mind. Now I’m caught between holding to my commitment and testing the waters with this feisty woman. Will wanting this heiress be a blessing or the curse that ends my career as a ranch manager? A series that will leave you breathless with its heated plot, emotional depth, and sizzling passion. Enjoy!

I was so excited for this first installment in the new Ranch Legacy series by Ella Cooper. Like always in her stories, we have a short read with a romance, a little smexy tension and a mystery.
Bianca is the only heir to the largest ranch in Wyoming. She wants to be taken seriously, but feels that no one does when she speaks, mainly because she is a woman. Bianca is strong and capable and knows the horses as well as any of the ranch hands. Her father wants her to take on more of the administrative tasks with the ranch as well so he's going to hire her a manager. She agrees, but says if he's not up to snuff in 6 weeks, he's gone.
Bianca's dad hires Jack from another ranch and tells him to come to a black tie event when he gets into town. Bianca and Jack catch eyes and he comes to her, but then insults her without really knowing that he is doing it by offering to accompany her when she goes to speak to the older, stodgy men who are also at the party. They don't start off well, but they do end up working really well together on the ranch. This story ends on a cliffhanger with the start of the mystery that will likely span over this whole series.
