Y'all! I really liked this book. So much better than the first in this series. I loved Mackenzie and Wesley from the first time they met. Mackenzie gets stood up for a date and she meets Wesley and sparks fly. They have one night together but Wesley knows that he wants more.
I liked Mackenzie. Her character seemed really honest and came off real. She had her flaws and didn’t just fall head first into Wesley which was refreshing.
Wesley was completely swoon worthy! I loved him so much. He was a classic ARR love interest. Unapologetically alpha, sexy, and captivating. Don’t believe me? See quotes below..

See! I couldn’t get enough of their dialogue. We didn’t learn much about Wesley’s past until the end but I felt like that went with the story to show how he learned to trust Mackenzie with his heart.
The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was because of all the back and forth. There was way too much of that for me. I get that some stuff scared Mackenzie but she was more flighty than a scared pidgeon.
All in all, this book took me back to my obsession with ARR and her books. I can’t wait for the next in the series. I think it’s going to be about Libby and Antonio and I’m excited!
