Recs if you like Wench...

Romance books to read for the aesthetic (usually cartoon covers because I’m trash for character art)

Just a list of books coming out in 2026 that I’m really excited for :) it will be updated as the months go by! It will be a mix of: high fantasy, romance fantasy, sci-fi, gothic, horror, lit fic, historical fiction, retellings, poetry, romance, & more!!

Yes, we’re judging (and celebrating!) the most creative and interesting book covers released this year. Mostly featuring cool typography, stunning illustrations, and exciting colour palettes. Not limited by genre but sticking with young adult and adult books. (This is an anti AI cover list)

Nothing better than a quick standalone romance between something long and serious 😏 In other words, if you’re already committed to six series but still need more excitement in your life 🤭

If you simply prefer to spend every night with another magical being that’s perfectly fine too 🤭💖

Romantasy standalones from YA to Dark Romance

not food related, not the prettiest covers ever (though some of them definitely are), just book covers I want to eat 👅

Wanting to read something new in fantasy or romance that isn’t going to make you wait around in agony for a sequel? I’ve got you.

Standalone books worth a read or repeat!

Retellings of and tales inspired by Robin Hood. First in a series or standalones. Please drop additions if you have them!

The books that I saw being recommended instead of ACOTAR so I want to give them a go

Retellings of classics and fairytales

This list features all books by Locked Library and Forbidden Wing of 2026 including the Archive and Classics collection.
