Horror books with a page count of 200 pages or less.

Before we started defining novellas by word count, they were defined as being any book less than 200 pages. Source: my Analysis of Short Stories & Literature professor in community college. I loved that class. But he loved James Joyce. So, ymmv, I guess.

This is a collection of recommendations for people who want to get into extreme horror/splatterpunk without feeling pressured. Have fun, stay safe, and remain scary!!

These books are not for the faint of heart. PLEASE CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS if that is important to you. This is the anything goes side of horror. If you are looking for something that is disgusting and makes you need a shower after look no further.

This is the last tier I will be listing in the Disturbing Novel Icberg. These are some of the most challenging to read due to the content.

Tiers 6-8 are primarily books that are inaccessible due to being historical artifacts, lost to history, or may have never existed in the first place.

My recommendation on starting and getting into hardcore horror and splatterpunk. Approach with caution, read trigger warnings. Not ranked from mildest to hardest.
