Recs if you like The Moth Keeper...

JK Rowling is a bigot who uses her platform to hurt transfolks and other marginalized groups (plus she literally just quoted Mein Kampf on the bird site). If you're still supporting her in 2025, don't bother talking to me.

You liked Harry Potter but you’re angry at the author for being a huge transphobe and you would like some alternatives because you don’t want to give money to her so she can finance transphobia and you have enough of Harry Potter’s racist stereotypes like Cho Chang and other problematic themes in this saga? You’re in the right place! I haven’t read all, if some are misplaced, let me know! Also, if you want more fantasy recs, I have a queer fantasy list! It is addressed to different ages.

Books that inspired or are similar to Studio Ghibli films

novels, novellas, and graphic novels set in queernormative worlds. (most are within the genre of fantasy.) we all deserve to feel at home

aka my "i just love pretty and cool art, especially when it's lesbian/sapphic" list

Non-fiction and fiction books with moths in them. That's it. That's the list. PS: Why isn't there a moth emoji already?!?

fiction books that have a main character or prominent side character that fit the D&D Druid class (at least partly). here for the wildshape, speak with animals, and loving nature vibes! open to recs and input!

also credit to @moss-mylk for providing a whole shelf worth’s of recs for this list!!!

At the request of @moss-mylk 😊🫶 I will keep updating this list, and as always, recs are welcome.

Perfect for fantasy lovers with not enough hours in the day!

Feel free to mention any I missed in the comments 😊

I have spent years curating a list of graphic novels for myself on goodreads and I thought this place would be great to share it and share my love for graphic novels. I’m not picky about the plot or topics of the graphic novels I read so the list is pretty much any graphic novel I have heard of regardless of topic. Many are middle grade or young adult as is the general trend of the format but recommendations for more (especially adult) would be greatly appreciated.

Also manga is not included.

musings on home, and characters yearning to belong, whether they know it or not. (includes conversations on identity and family/chosen family.)

are you a bedtime reader? do you find books make you way too excited/anxious/wired to sleep? maybe you just can’t put that book down? here are some lovely books that lull you into a peaceful, relaxed state, so you’re ready for a great night’s sleep.

Graphic novels to cozy up with and read for fall and Halloween.

July is Disability Pride Month! Here's a big pile of books with disabled characters. All the books also have at least one queer character, and in most cases, the queer character and the disabled character are one and the same. (There are a few non-fiction titles in the mix as well; representation for queerness may be subtext/interpreted). (This list is presented by Duck Prints Press, the indie publisher focused on publishing queer art and stories by queer creators! A group of us collaborate to make these recommendations.)

Who TF needs JKR anymore? We got way better books out there dude

You didn't have the mood to read but still wanna read something? And also, you're queer? Let's be proud of being queer together by reading!

This title is inspired by the phrase: Be Gay, Do Crime

Feel free to recommend some into the list!!

Occasionally a butterfly may find it's way here.

Books that feel like a warm hug and leave us feeling hopeful and whimsical, a little light amidst the dark. For the days we cannot have any more reality but instead need a cup of fluffy dreams and a pick-me-up and some optimism for the future
