Recs if you like The Owl Service...

apparently there’s a big football game going on in America this weekend so I wanted to put together a list of owl books from across all genres

as always, taking any and all suggestions!

As the name of the list suggests, these are books inspired by Welsh / Wales folklore, myths, history, etc. Absolutely open to recommendations!

(As this is very niche, I may end up expanding it to include Scottish and Celtic folklore as well, but for now we'll start with Welsh.)

basically my favorite genre that encompasses a lot of other genres. all very different in tone! i have not yet read all of these.

This list is for the Carnegie Medal for Writing, which is chosen by children's librarians for exceptional books written in English for children and young people. The medals are awarded by CILIP and the Youth Libraries Group. The mission statement: "To champion librarians to inspire and empower the next generation to create a better world through books and reading."
