Recs if you like The Ride of Her Life...

every struggled to find actual lesbian/sapphic books when at the library or bookstore? so did I!

bc of said struggle, I started to curate a personal list of books that either has lesbian MCs and/or featured a primary sapphic romance.

i haven't read all of these, but I do try my diligence in confirming that they meet the above perimeters, since many books claim to be sapphic when they're not. this is an ever updating list, only fiction for now!

Basically, a huge list of books from all genres featuring sapphic characters, whether bisexual, lesbian, butch, femme, or anything in between.

Includes fiction and nonfiction. Books with spice, and books with very little romance alike. You may find epic lady knights, pirates, ancient vampires or just weird girl adventures, heartbreaking stories or cozy books of found family and queer joy. Memoirs, historical fiction, instruction manuals, maybe even a poem or two.

I went through all the books in the romance quest tab and here are all the ones where at least one of leads is in a relationship that is not "man and woman falling in love with each other." F/F, M/M, F/NBi, M/NBi, NBi/NBi, etc. Largely motivated by wanting to figure out which romance book quests I had a chance of getting the badges for. If I missed any, let me know. A list of romances that all follow the same premise: A “city girl” has just inherited her estranged family’s rural business/property, which comes complete with a built-in grouch who is totally mad about it 💢

I live in the city now and pretty much hate the small town I grew up in, but I also love to romanticise it and want to see happy people living there...
