Olivia Byrd spent eight years of her childhood at the hands of a monster. Now that monster is gone and she is finally free of him, but she has been left with so many unanswered questions. Who was he? Why did he take her? Who killed him and why? And most of all, was she really free and safe now? With no answers in sight and no idea where to start looking for them, Olivia decides it’s time to move forward and start living the life she fought so hard for. With her protective guys at her side, and her family at her back she faces many new challenges. She has a new home to build with the men she loves and college classes to tackle, all while still striving to overcome the darkness of her past, and the horror of recent trauma. And if there is one thing that life has taught Livy and her guys, it’s that life is never easy and the past is never really the past. If they want the answers to the questions surrounding the kidnapping and security for the future of their family, there will be more danger, and secrets to uncover ahead of them. The question is, do any of them have the strength left that they need to get to the truth and find their version of happily ever after?

I’ve enjoyed this series and there were some twists that I really liked in this final book in the series. I liked seeing Livy growing and dealing with her triggers and how her guys were supportive of her. However, I did get frustrated a few times with one of the male characters and was like - Just talk to the others! Especially considering the family dynamics in the previous books it felt a little off, particularly one of the last twists I struggled with him not saying something to someone. But overall, I liked the series and I thought the trauma was dealt with well.
