He’s gorgeous. Bossy. Dangerous. And I’m his new undercover assignment. Once, Jake Shelborne wanted to play my hero. We were best friends. Inseparable. Now, he’s all grown up. Infinitely more infuriating, and infinitely hotter. Jake is the federal agent assigned to infiltrate the nest of vipers known as my family. For the next four days, Jake will play my fiancé. From the way he can’t keep his hands off me, I’d say he’s enjoying this a little too much. But I’m not the same girl I used to be. I want to control my own fate. I intend to save those I love, and I'll need Jake's help to make that happen. There's only one complication I can't handle. Falling for him.

What's worse than being pulled into work when you are just about to leave for a family vacation after cancelling so many time before due to work, finding out the girl next door who stole your heart and then up and left when you were a teenager is the informant you have to look after! I really felt for Jake and got the anger he had when he sees Harper again not only after she disappeared on him but learning about who her family is whilst also getting Harper's side when we learn more about it.
The anxiety and danger of the situation they get in when Jake meets her family nor knowing whether they can trust anyone let alone not get found out about what they are doing has you wanting to turn the page. Add in the sexual tension that needs an outlet and if once it is all over will Harper disappear again or Jake not want to take a chance on seeing how great they could be makes this a great read.
