Limiting this to fantasy/sci-fi, these are books where the MCs are locked up for most of the book or it's a crucial part of the plot. This can include magical prisons, cursed towers, institutions of sorts, and probably more!

Made purely for my own convenience since I've been wanting to slowly catch up with Juliet Marillier's Sevenwaters series along with her other series that also takes place in Sevenwaters universe; namely Blackthorn & Grim and Warrior Bards series.
