This list is inspired by a day when a few people had updates involving Tampa and I was like, “wait, is that…?”

this list spans from self help books that are actually helpful to in depth theories about healing. you would probably find quite a few of these books on your therapist’s bookshelf. maybe you are looking for deeper healing. maybe you are a therapist looking for your next read. welcome :)

The term reproductive justice is from SisterSong and is inherently an intersectional, political, and affirming framework. BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled perspectives highlighted.

A variety of books on female health, including educational books on the menstrual cycle, fertility, sex, pregnancy, and menopause. Where some books go deeper into endometriosis, PCOS and/or adenomyosis. As well as books covering the misogyny and discrimination within women’s healthcare currently and throughout history. The righteous feministic anger we feel towards the mistreatment, lack of research, and utter disrespect we face as women in medicine. Also cookbooks for those interested.

Different kinds of non-fiction books about gender, feminism, and related topics. People like black women or neurodivergent women are twice or more marginalised, and often it's not clear whether treatment was due to (for example) skin colour or perceived gender, so I'll add some books about other kinds of marginalisation as well. I haven't read all books (yet); if one is problematic, please tell me so in a comment!
