Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic characters.

I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.

Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Books with titles or plots where you begin to suspect the author might have been a musical theatre kid. Gimme them musical theatre recs. We are specifically looking for "the musical came first" here.

I hope this doesn’t find you by Ann Liang introduced me to the rivals to lovers trope so these are the books I found while desperately trying to fill the hole in my heart! (Some of these books contain spice and some of them don’t, so make sure you check whether they do or don’t according to your preference)

Sometimes you wanna read just a cute high school romance! These books are completely spice free, not even closed door. (Also if I find them mediocre they aren’t on the list 🤭). ✨most do have language and sometimes innuendo for clarification. ✨also some of these are romance side plots. They are still super duper adorable though.

Music and books both speak to something deeper in many of us. These books are about music, musicians, and how music moves us.
