Tyler Fletcher was the star of every one of my teenage fantasies. And I was the forbidden fruit. The younger sister to four older brothers, I was off-limits to every guy in town—especially my brothers’ best friend. After finding ourselves alone in the same room when I was eighteen, Tyler and I had one brief, passionate encounter. But he disappeared without a word in the middle of the night. Desperate to get out of my brothers’ shadows, and away from Tyler, I fled to Paris. But after losing my job at a luxury hotel there, I found myself in the one place I swore I would never live—back home in Telluride. At a fundraising event at my family’s ski resort, Tyler approached me with an offer to partner together to raise money for charity. Desperate to find my footing and prove to my father that I deserved a position in his company, I agreed to Tyler’s proposition. Our task was simple: Construct dugouts for local softball teams. Instead, our shared moments were filled with stolen kisses in the outfield, surrendering to the undeniable spark between us. My recklessness won’t impress my father, and if he doesn’t give me the job, there will be nothing for me here. For Tyler, leaving his family and business isn’t an option. We’re treading a dangerous line, but what happens if it blows up in my face?

Kylie Wilde and Tyler Fletcher have known each other for years. Kylie had a crush a mile wide on Tyler while they were growing up, but because he's friends with her older brothers, she has been off limits. They have had little moments over the years and one night where they connected on a whole other level. Once that night was over, though, Tyler was gone and almost pretended like the night never happened. Frustrated that her family has never accepted that she can contribute to the family business (a ski lodge), Kylie left town after college and went to Paris. After losing her job because her boyfriend was the child of her boss, she returns home lost and unsure what she wants to do next. Tyler has always supported her, so when they talk, once again he helps to build her up. Kylie wants to start a charity to raise money to build dugouts for the softball teams in the area. Tyler supports the idea and wants to involve his family as well. As they spend more time together, the more are those sparks fly and soon there are more than just stolen kisses when no one is looking. Can the two of them build a relationship that lasts given that Kylie doesn't know where life is going to take her next? Not to mention the complication of those overprotective older brothers. This story is sweet and there's just a little bit of angst so nothing too taxing. Just a great small town romance with great characters.
