Mia Smantz

Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

Sasha lives in the high mountain village of Stillwind. Not even thirty yet, she already owns her own cafe and spends her free time as a volunteer firefighter. No part of her life ever suggested that she'd become caught up in the middle of a crime ring that spans the globe. It's Stillwind. Nothing bad ever happens in Stillwind. Luckily, she's not fighting this on her own because she'd be lost without all the people on her side.

Smantz has created another series that just sucks you in. Sasha is such a strong character, but when she finds herself in over her head, she sets her pride aside and reaches out to an ex-BFF. I loved how the town is also kind of a character. Sasha has such strong ties. This is a slow burn RH, but we do meet 4 guys I’m sure/hoping will stick around. There are secrets to Sasha’s past and secrets in the town - the tension with the guys is growing, I love their bromance too, but I can’t wait to learn more about their background. The story doesn’t end on a cliffhanger per se, but there is definitely some game changing events and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out :)
