I don't read many thrillers. They either don't catch my attention or they quickly lose it.
This was different. Maybe because we all suspect maybe we don't know our friends as well as we think.
Maggie runs an organization working in third world countries. She grew up extremely wealthy but doesn't agree with her family's' business practices so she uses her money in a philanthropic ways. Her best friend Celine grew up poor, the daughter of Maggie's nanny.
Maggie gets a call that Celine has committed suicide and flys home to sort out her estate. She doesn't believe she killed herself and decides to investigate.
The story is twisty and interesting. I love her writing style (loved 10 tiny breaths). If you like thrillers with some steam, this might be for you.
