Books where a main character is not entirely human and/or is an alien, monster, spirit, eldritch horror, etc. who has disguised themself as a human. Do they want to be human? literary fiction/general fiction books with a speculative twist some lean more on the literary side, some more speculative. these books are more likely to be marketed as lit fic than speculative/sci-fi/fantasy.

A list to help those who aspire to read from authors outside the typical areas. I will be creating different list for different regions. I will also list the countries currently found in the list. Be sure to check out the other lists! Note: The countries are not perfect as some countries are classified differently, so I did my best.

This list will showcase the vast amount of Scottish Literature available, from the late medieval period to the present day. Partly inspired by there only being a few Scottish books on the 'British Classics' quest. Alba gu bràth!
