Recs if you like Under the Skin...

I'm a human. Just like you. I walk like you, talk like you...I'm just like you...Right? Books where a main character is not entirely human and/or is an alien, monster, spirit, eldritch horror, etc. who has disguised themself as a human. Do they want to be human? Or do they want to eat humans? Or some secret third thing? Who knows? You decide. (Please comment your suggestions!)

Fiction about weird drugs that induce weird states/make you do weird things

Ideally not drugs that exist irl with cool new sci-fi names slapped on them. We're looking for totally new kinds of pharmacology here! Exciting (and potentially scary)!!

This list will showcase the vast amount of Scottish Literature available, from the late medieval period to the present day. Partly inspired by there only being a few Scottish books on the 'British Classics' quest. Alba gu bràth!
