My honeymoon was almost everything I dreamed it would be, a tropical paradise, turquoise water, romantic walks on the beach, and loads and loads of mind shattering sex. The only thing missing was the groom. After seven years of coasting through a relationship with Michael, my senses were numb. A week of passion with a stranger was just what I needed to clear my head and take back control of my life. But how do you move on when the man that was only supposed to be a fling somehow seeps into your soul and steals your heart?

I got this as an ARC to review from the author.
I have to say I started reading this book and felt like okay this is going to be our usual trope filled 50 shades esque book, but I was surprised to find it wasn't. I actually found myself pretty interested in the book especially because I didn't feel like Syd was a total pushover but instead had her own dreams for life which we see by the ending that those matter not only to her but to Jack as well.
What I liked about this book? Well It wasn't just pure sex but when it happened it was damn good. I felt like Syd had pretty normal reactions to things that were going on around her. Not just a suck it up and play along or half dead character reactions. Jack felt real as well.
The set up was perfect so was the opening to the book leading us to a flashback. The whole narrative was engaging and interesting. I was left wondering by the end what will be happening in book two and curious enough to want to continue reading.
A few minor spelling/weird things I noticed and took me out of the book so I did knock a star off because of that. Jack is the typical perfect boyfriend almost though throughout the book, but we did see a few cracks in his facade which I'm hoping to see exposed more in the next book!
Overall this book was a really fun read and enjoyable. I recommend it especially if you are wanting a fun read while you are at the beach or on a vacation. Looking forward to book 2 as well.
Note: The errors experienced in my copy are not present in the final version! Which means i'd give it 4.5/5 stars.
