Again, not an expert in things graphic novel related.

However, I really enjoyed this! I actually prefer this to the TID graphic novels. They were so full of words and yet somehow lost the heart of the story. This adaptation is marvelous! There seems to be an accurate portrayal of every major event in the first half of City of Bones.

And maybe that's why it's better. I had expected this to be all of CoB but was pleasantly surprised to find it only covered half of it. Which means there was more time to go through all of the important story moments. Something that the TID graphic novels lacked in.

I can't say how this rates against other graphic novels but I can say as an addition to the Shadowhunters world, this is fantastic. I enjoyed Cassandra Jean's artwork and the way the story was told within.
