Mind the trigger warnings if abuse could be a trigger for you. There is on page abuse that contributes to the story and gives reasons for other's actions, but if you are sensitive to that, be aware there are descriptions and while short, it's not glossed over.
Sierra escapes from an abusive relationship and the only thing she wants to do now is find a job to support her daughter. She gets a job working for a movie mogul. She then finds out that he is the abusive father that her friend has been away from almost her whole life. Sierra finds herself in a relationship with him and she doesn't see any signs of the abuse, but she also knows that can be hidden during good times. She's worried she might lose her daughter and her best friend if true, but she also feels drawn to Victor and wants to give him a chance.
