If you’re looking for a quickie, you might want to stop here.
I do get the sense, from the characters’ banter and inner dialogue, that this novella is part of a world I’m missing … that said, having read whatever came before this isn’t needed. Author does a good job of getting the gist of what’s going on and the characters’ personalities into the first chapter … along with some steamy time. (There is a LOT of that, packed into some small space.)

Content contains some BDSM, so if that isn’t your jam, you might want to move along. It’s mostly well-done, no complaints here.


Audiobook:
I opted to listen to this so I could ‘read’ and work at the same time. The narrators are good at what they do, inserting emotions into the dialogue, and doing so appropriately according to times/situations. I’d say these narrators added to the reading experience and I’m interested in hearing more from them.

Somewhere between 3.5-4 stars, entertaining listen.
