This story was interesting and perfect for spooky season! It starts with a story about what happened in a large mansion in town in 1835. The head of the family has both a wife and a mistress. He is cursed and when he tries to grab the woman, she falls and dies. He has to cover things up so he throws her body in the ocean. Fast forward to the present and an archivist named Eleanor comes to the mansion to meet with the current owner, Joseph. Soon, strange things start to happen to and around the two of them. Is it possible that there is something to the decades old curse? As Eleanor and Joseph get closer, their lives are more in danger. Can they find a way to stay together and break the curse?
