Ember is fierce and snarky. I love her kind of crazy friendship with Gem. Ember has been locked up in a pen asylum for nearly a year, trying to remember the month everything seemed to go wrong. Daemon has been her one constant - her benefactor that check in, and suddenly there are 3 new guys - another inmate, a doctor, and a guard - who have some secrets of their own. I have to say all of the guys were intriguing and varying levels of dark and psycho. Daemon especially, but I also loved Finn’s dark and playful side, Coal’s broodiness, and Jace’s arrogance. I especially loved how Ember could see through them - girl is smart! I can’t wait to see what happens next!
