Promised to the Pride

Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

An arranged match between one innocent shifter and three seasoned snow leopards. What could go wrong? Holly has no choice but to agree to leave her family for her intended mates, in order to help her baby sister. Her entire life is thrown upside-down once she meets them—Nikolas, Aster, and Jonas. Nikolas is the calm and collected snow leopard of the bunch, while Aster is the goofy, playful cutie. Jonas, though…he gives her trouble like no other. Rough and dominant, closed off to her. She knows her life will soon be all about submission to each of these three men. Life in Fairbanks won’t be easy, but sometimes the best things in life are the most challenging. Holly and her new pride are about to find out that even shifters aren’t safe in a world ruled by humans. Promised to the Pride is a standalone RH romance with steamy scenes.

Holly is on her way to Alaska for an arranged mating to 3 other snow leopard shifters. I thought Holly’s worries about meeting her mates were realistic, and liked seeing her become more confident in herself. Jonas, Aster, and Nikolas were a mixed bag for me. I feel like the relationship with Jonas was more developed than with Nik and Aster, and I would have liked to see more with them. At times I felt bad for Jonas, as he was kind of the outsider. But I did like seeing his growth. There is a dramatic twist in the end that seemed to come about and resolve a little too quickly for me. I also was really hoping for an answer about Holly’s shifting. I was rooting for Jonas, and really liked Holly. I also liked Aster and his awkwardness :)
