A list filled with adorable middle grade/children's fiction to take us back way back when. (A good unwind session plus it would be great to share these to get more kids into reading-all suggestions welcome)

Series and books that feature animal MCs, of varying target audience age. There is a lean toward fantasy, as that is what I read, but I tried to include a number of other fiction titles with animal characters as well.

Books that focus on mythical creatures besides dragons or humanoids. Only includes the first book in each series. Feel free to offer suggestions in the comments.
