Recs if you like Northranger...

LGBT*+ graphic novels / comics / manga +

Fluff to smut, including 18+ etc aka not exclusive to anything specific other than being queer content (queer & queer-rep inclusive stories). I have read a good handful of the ones now at the bottom of the list. Includes intended middle-grade-ish-level youth content to adult audience content.

In progress / updated over time. Mostly serving as an all-in-one-spot list until Pagebound figures something out that works well for multi-genre/format exploration. :)

(recs highly welcome) Attempting a highly exhaustive list.

Books that adapt, retell, and pull inspiration from Jane Austen's works.

a list of lgbt cowboys, curated by the community (see comments for the original post). my primary focus is mlm (gay, bisexual, cis or trans men), but will include some wlw. please leave further suggestions!

Why do we rewatch the 1995 and 2005 adaptations of Pride and Prejudice over and over again? Because it's a timeless story of love! So iconic are Austen's six novels that you can plop the characters and plot shapes in different times, countries, and planets, and you'll still feel the original at its core. This list is book adaptations (published fanfiction) of all six of Austen's novels. The character names don't have to match exactly, but we should know which book it's riffing off from.

Retellings of classics, fairy tales and myths with a queer twist

Queer graphic novels that I've been able to check out from my public library!! (Adding as I find them)

When a book you’re reading mentions the greatest serial television show of all time you sit up and take note. 📝

The author was influenced by this seminal work of art just like you! 👯/👯‍♀️

The whole story is elevated at least one full star level. ⭐️

This is a list of those gems! 💎

This is just for Buffy mentions in fiction. There is another beautiful list of works specifically created to discuss BTVS. 🤓

Happy reading all of you with exceptional taste! 🧛🏻‍♀️🧛🏾‍♂️🦇🔪💅

May is Latinx Books Month, so we've put together a list of our favorite titles starring queer Latinx characters! (This list is presented by Duck Prints Press, the indie publisher focused on publishing queer art and stories by queer creators! A group of us collaborate to make these recommendations.)

Horror books with messed up families

I love YA. It can suck pretty bad when the books try to copy each other. But when some of those gems pop up...wowza! Who knew you could tell such a hard-hitting story without having to resort to 1,000 pages & sex?

Books for Autumn... Im not really sure what an apple fritter is.
