Recs if you like The Witch and the Huntress...

I'm sure some of these are already on your TBR, so might as well add some more! Let me know if I am missing any of your favorites!

We should all be reading queer, all year, but this list is full of upcoming queer books of all makes and models coming out in 2026. If you have a rec to add, just please keep in mind we’re looking for 2026 releases!

collecting all 2026 releases featuring sapphic romance!!

If there's a fan club for people who hate Jason of the Argonauts from Greek mythology, I'm the president. If there's one person alive who hates Jason, it's me. If no one alive hates Jason, it's because I'm dead.

this is an ongoing list of lgbtqiap+ books (across all genres, and age groups) that are planned to be released in 2026. if you’re an arc reader, you can also check whether any of them are available as arcs!! feel free to suggest books to add, since I’ll work on this list over time as well 🥰

last books added in: january!

Yes, we’re judging (and celebrating!) the most creative and interesting book covers released this year. Mostly featuring cool typography, stunning illustrations, and exciting colour palettes. Not limited by genre but sticking with young adult and adult books. (This is an anti AI cover list)

All the greek mythology I can find out there! There is a lot of Percy Jackson and then quite a bit more. A mixture of more modern retellings and also the books and plays they're derived from.

Nothing better than a quick standalone romance between something long and serious 😏 In other words, if you’re already committed to six series but still need more excitement in your life 🤭

If you simply prefer to spend every night with another magical being that’s perfectly fine too 🤭💖

Romantasy standalones from YA to Dark Romance

aka The We Hate Jason Club. We follow Medea's journey instead of focusing on Jason's quest for the Golden Fleece.

Hyperfixating on mythology but wished it was two girls instead? Then this list is for you!

I have other lists for sapphic retellings of fairytale/folklore, plays, poems, ballets and classics!

Witchy books, but make them queer! This list will span genres, including everything from romance to weird girl lit fic. Here you will find found covens, curses against homophobes and transphobes, and many norms being broken! Disclaimer: this list is still very much a work in progress as I hunt down queer witchy books (which are harder to find than expected!)

books that as far as I know are sapphic in some way, that have come out either last year, this year, or next year

Retellings of classics, fairy tales and myths with a queer twist

Greek, Roman, Arthurian, Norse, Celtic, Hindu, Japanese, and more!

this list features upcoming books that feature sapphic MCs or romance and are releasing in 2026!

Was it ever just a phase?

Do you love fairytales, folklore, mythology, and classics but wished they were sapphic? Then this list is for you!

I haven't read all of them, so if you believe one of these does not contain a sapphic romance (subplot), pls tell me in the comments! Recommendations are welcome!
